This co-created zine is the result of a conversation with Heidi Valda! 🧚🏽 We’re looking forward to talking to creatives, artists… people who do stuff where technology is involved, delving into the creative process and sharing different points of view on multidisciplinary art 💖. @heidi_valda opens this series of conversations and it was amazing to listen to her psychedelic vision of art, culture and self-expression.

She says that for her, the organic is the animal and technology is related to the human. By bringing the two together she creates her monsters (her works).

We talked about the presence of her Bolivian culture in her work. She talked about the “Llatunka” and what a witch told her when she asked her what art was: “Art is everything”.

She rejects the “white cube” and feels that what comes from ancestral wisdom is often not validated or accepted in the art world in Europe.

She wants to show other realities, to “educate the eye”. That’s why she is fascinated by nature, insects, their colours, the different ways of seeing that exist…
