"CANAL" engages with the memory of Manresa and, in particular, with the Séquia (irrigation canal) and the episode of the Mysterious Light. Inspired by the canal's ancient course, the work transforms the space into a symbolic waterway where tradition and imagination intertwine.
The installation unfolds as a luminous thread advancing through the space, recalling the passage of water that once wound its way through the aqueduct's arches. Small particles of light —like drops coming to life— activate along the route and circulate through the canal in choreographed sequences. They advance, accelerate, stop, and scatter. Sometimes they move in a silent procession, other times as small sparks chasing one another. This movement generates subtle ripples and vibrations that run through the entire piece, as if the canal were breathing or remembering the water that once flowed through it.
